The company’s founder, Truett Cathy, was a devout Christian and decided to shutter his stores on the Sabbath for a combination of religious and employee welfare reasons. The one inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium will be no exception.
Seven of the Falcons’ eight regular season home games are on Sunday this season, the exception being a tilt against the Saints on Dec. 7, a Thursday night. Chick-fil-A has been closed on Sundays since 1946 on orders from founder Truett Cathy.
