Brown played after the death of a close friend he'd known and played with since high school.
"My best friend passed last night," Brown said speaking with reporters after the game.
"I wasn't in any shape to come out; I didn't want to leave my room," Brown said. "After talking with his mom and his family, they inspired me to come out and play... I came out and played in his spirit."
