Also fondly coined as Biggie Smalls, Christopher Wallace took the rap game and re-engineered it, and has inspired so many more after him. 21 years ago today, we lost Biggie to a shooting, and it forever left it's mark on hip hop, noting what we lost.
In memoriam of Notorious B.I.G., we scouted Twitter and Instagram to locate some of the most iconic shots of the rap titan. These images, along with so many others, have stood with Biggie's legacy, and have become a crown jewel of his lifetime.
Even in pop culture references, Biggie's image will pop up, whether it be a mural on a Brooklyn wall, or as a larger-than-life painting in Cottonmouth's office in Netflix's Luke Cage.
