Lil Wayne’s “Carter V” Is Now Platinum Eligible
Fans of Lil Wayne waited for 7 years to hear “Tha Carter V” and they enjoyed it.

They enjoyed it so much that the project is now eligible for platinum certification because its sales and streams have reached one million. The cool thing about it is that half of the sales came in the first week of the album's release! Wayne's album got 433 million streams in the first week, and was topped only by his Young Money mate Drake's "Scorpion."






Many thought the album would never see the light of day as Wayne battled Cash Money head honcho Bryan "Baby" Williams in court, but even though there were bumps in the road it's been a good year and well worth the wait. What's your favorite track on "Tha Carter V?"
