A viral post urging ATM users to press the cancel button twice because it will keep your PIN from being stolen isn’t true, backed up with an investigation by Snopes.
The American Bankers Association says they’ve never heard of such a thing before and David Tente, the executive director of the ATM Industry Association, adds that it’s “completely false.” The best advice is to remain vigilant, making sure skimmers and hidden cameras aren’t trying to capture your information.
