Starz Has 3 ‘Power’ Spin-Offs in Development, Including a Prequel TV Series Starring 50 Cent
Three spin-offs of Starz’s Power is in the works, 50 Cent’s character Kannan will be the center for a prequel TV series and there will be a series focused on the notorious Black Mafia Family.
Starz CEO Chris Albrecht says he would be happy if all three shows worked with audiences but he’s at least “determined to make one work.” 50 Cent signed a multi-series deal with Starz worth $150 million earlier in 2018.
Per BusinessInsider.com: During a conversation at Business Insider’s IGNITION conference this week, Jackson and Starz CEO Chris Albrecht said three “Power” spin-offs are in the works, including one starring Jackson’s character, Kanan, who died during season five this year. (Season six is in production, and Jackson is still an executive producer on the show.)
