I LOVE this story! An elementary school cafeteria manager writes encouraging and inspiring messages on bananas for her students!

CHICAGO – MARCH 20: A three entree elementary lunch lies on display in the Nettelhorst Elementary School lunchroom March 20, 2006 in Chicago, Illinois. U.S. Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) stopped by the school to visit the new, pilot lunch program called, “Cool Foods,” as part of the Healthy Schools Campaign. Nettelhorst is one of three Chicago public schools participating in the new lunch program offering salad bars as a new federal law, effective June 30, 2006, states that all schools must establish wellness policies. I saw this post from Good Morning America's Robin Roberts this morning, so I searched for the story to find out more about this teacher!
Her name is Stacey Truman and she is the cafeteria manager at Kingston Elementary School in Virginia. She told GMA that the idea started when she was working two jobs and she "did it for my own kids at home because I wouldn't see them for like a week at a time... so that they would know how much I love 'em." She writes things like, "you're loved" and "keep smiling" on the bananas at school for her students every day. She's also made them other treats like "emoji oranges" and "banana dolphins". Watch the full interview in the link below. The world needs more people like Stacey Truman in it!
