Imagine spending your birthday on stage with 20,000 friends, that’s Justin Timberlake did Thursday night at Madison Square Garden in New York.
The now 38-year-old singer told fans, “I don’t know how it worked out this way, but I couldn’t think or dream of doing what I love most in the world with 20,000 friends at the Garden on my 38th birthday. Thank you, New York City.” It really took a lot for Timberlake to play Madison Square Garden, back in March New York was hit with a Nor’easter.
Then in December, Timberlake was suffering from bruised vocal cords, so the third attempt was a special one. After Timberlake expressed his gratitude for his fans patience and making it back to see him, the crowd sang Happy Birthday and he downed a celebratory shot with The Tennessee Kids the got back to belting out his hits.
