50 Cent Burns Gucci T-shirt And Criticizes Floyd Mayweather For Still Patronizing The Luxury Brand
Rapper and actor 50 Cent took to Instagram to let the world know that he’s no longer supporting Gucci in the midst of their backlash for releasing a black balaclava that resembled blackface.
Last night, the “In The Club” rapper took a lighter and burned a white Gucci T-shirt in the video that he shared on the social media platform.
“I gotta get rid of all the Gucci I have at home. I’m not supporting their brand anymore,” he wrote in his caption.
In the video, 50 Cent dropped the t-shirt onto a large pile of Gucci clothes that were on the floor.

Following that post, 50 Cent shared another post of his former friend and rival, boxing champ Floyd Mayweather. The photo that he posted is a close up of Mayweather, where it looks like 50 Cent went into an editing program and drew a mock-up of the Gucci balaclava that was in question on Mayweather’s face. 50 Cent wrote “get the f*** outta here Champ! LOL,” as his caption.

A few days ago, Mayweather was filmed by TMZ Sports on his way into the Gucci store where during a quick interview he shared that he’s not a follower, and he wears what he wants to wear and does what he wants to do. Before he answered TMZ’s questions, he seemed unaware of the Gucci controversy. TMZ asked him if he was aware of the controversy, and he said, “What controversy?”
50 Cent and Mayweather usually go back and forth with each other with on social media with indirect and direct insults, but Mayweather hasn’t responded as of yet. A few days prior, he shared a video of himself on Instagram with Roxanne Shante playing in the background while he sipped out of a real gold cup and stood in the middle of a pile of money.
