Tamar Braxton's Boyfriend Writes Heartfelt Instagram Post About Singer

Tamar Braxton's boyfriend, David Adefeso, recently wrote a long heartfelt post about the singer and reality TV star regarding Braxton being previously "angry," "distraught", and "almost completely broken."

"When I met my @tamarbraxton 12 months ago she was angry, distraught and almost-completely broken. She'd lost her family, her friends, her job and was estranged from her mom and sisters who she loves so much," Adefeso wrote.

"While her behavior was a significant cause of these misfortunes, it took me a while to recognize that there were other equally valid causes, including being repeatedly assaulted by men in her life she trusted (first physically as a child, then emotionally later on in life by deeply aggressive and utterly controlling romantic relationships); finally culminating in the continuing psychological damage brought on by working on a TV show she feels utterly shackled to due to contract terms."

Adefeso went on to say that he inherited Braxton's baggage, and he either had a choice to "continue the emotional and psychological abuse" the singer had endured for almost "3 decades" by being "aggressively controlling and manipulative" or "to be a kind, gentle and loving friend and lover" to Braxton who is the woman he loves.

"Well, I chose the latter, and the results have been outstanding," Adefeso wrote.

This past one was another busy weekend for my @tamarbraxton and I. We spent time at the Inspiration Awards organized annually by Step up LA @stepupwomensnetwork , a non-profit that helps primarily young Black and Hispanic teen girls. Heard some stories of "depression to revival" from some young women that almost moved us to tears. Step Up lifts up young girls in disenfranchised communities and steers them in a direction many of them would never have otherwise known existed. Many of these teen girls are in very high risk situations: absentee parents, drugs, sexual abuse, and more. It teaches young women that they are strong and smart and beautiful and they can achieve anything they want ????????! They provide mentors, they have programs, they provide a safe environment to escape to❤️❤️❤️❤️! Step Up gives our girls a chance. Our daughters are our jewels....Soooooooo Bravo Ladies ????????????????????????????????. #LetsGiveOurDaughtersAChance

"With few exceptions the anger has been replaced by joy, the despair has morphed into a need to help the abused (check out #NoNeedTBShame), and the kind, gentle, beautiful and self-assured woman that is my @tamarbraxton is now on full display (check out our social media activities over the past 3 months since the show was shot and see the new Tamar)," Braxton's boyfriend explained.

Adefeso concluded his heartfelt post by stating that it is"strong black men's" duty and responsibility who are in relationships with "beautiful black women" to stand by their woman, "period."

Prior to Adefeso's Instagram post, Braxton also took to Instagram to share that she's evolved, thanks to Adefeso, in a concise post.

Braxton seems to be genuinely happy with her new lover. Perhaps fans of the reality TV star will have to keep watching WE TV's Braxton Family Values to see how their relationship continues to pan out.
