NORRISTOWN, PA - SEPTEMBER 24: Bill Cosby departs the Montgomery County Courthouse on the first day of sentencing in his sexual assault trial on September 24, 2018 in Norristown, Pennsylvania. In April, Cosby was found guilty on three counts of aggravated indecent assault for drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand at his suburban Philadelphia home in 2004. 60 women have accused the 80 year old entertainer of sexual assault. Bill Cosby sent a tweet from prison on Father’s Day. Cosby’s spokesperson said Bill requested a message be posted for him.

The world was not pleased.

In his tweet, Cosby wrote, “Hey, Hey, Hey…It’s America’s Dad…I know it’s late, but to all of the Dads… It’s an honor to be called a Father. So let’s make today a renewed oath to fulfilling our purpose — strengthening our families and communities.”

The tweet was attached to an old video of Cosby talking about racism and slavery.

People responded negatively to the message.

One person responded saying, “OMG no.”

Another person said, “You really can’t read a room, can you?”

Yet someone else posted, “Hey, Hey, Hey, It’s time for you to go away.”

Cosby is currently in jail after being convicted of drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand.
