Megan Thee Stallion is covering the latest digital issue of Paper magazine.
On the Arturo Evaristo photographed cover, the “Realer” rapper is tapping into her inner anime girl.
The 24-year-old Houston native has been the topic of many conversations within hip-hop, and she says that her newfound busy schedule filled with “writing and doing shows all over the place” is “hectic.”
Hot Girl Meg, who is currently in her senior year at Texas Southern University now has international fans, which was surprising to the health administration major.
“I’m like, ‘[The fans] aren’t going to know the words,'” Megan recalls thinking about her performances overseas. “They was in there, word for word. It was amazing. Finland — I have Hotties in Finland! It blows my mind every time I go somewhere new and they’re so turnt up. I just love it.”
The leader of the “Hot Girl Summer” movement clarified that “Hot Girl Summer” is non-gendered in her feature, and talked about how the movement that set off a playful war of the sexes on social media has swiftly grown.
“I don’t know what made it a competition,” Megan said, laughing. “It was the stupid boys. It just turned into a whole big ol’ thing. Now if it was a competition, I would definitely say that the Hot Girls have been in the lead. The Hot Boys is acting up… they showing some very ratchet behavior that has not been that cute. They talking about they wins and they doing grimy stuff. I’m like, ‘No baby, that’s not how you get points.'”
