Actor Michael B. Jordan is fighting for Jamie Foxx’s freedom, in a new biographical film where Jordan is portraying Bryan Stevenson, a young lawyer who fights for the freedom of those who are wrongly condemned, or who weren’t afforded proper legal representation.

The film is directed by award-winning filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton (The Glass Castle, Short Term 12), and also stars Brie Larson (Room, The Glass Castle, Captain Marvel).

The film is adapted from a screenplay that Cretton co-wrote, based on the award-winning nonfiction bestseller by Bryan Stevenson, of the same title.

Rob Morgan (Mudbound), Tim Blake Nelson (Wormwood), Rafe Spall, and O’Shea Jackson Jr. (Straight Outta Compton) are also featured in the film. Check out the trailer below.
