Sandals Resorts Help Local Communities With The Sandals Foundation! (AUDIO & PICS)

The Sandals Foundation is a non-profit organization that launched ten years ago to help Sandals Resorts International continue to make a difference in the Caribbean.  I got the chance to chat with Bianca Young while I was at Sandals South Coast in Jamaica about the amazing programs they have that you can participate in to help give back to the local communities.

According to the Sandals Foundation website, "All costs associated with administration and management is supported by Sandals International so that 100% of every dollar donated goes directly towards funding impactful and meaningful initiatives within the key areas of Education, Community and Environment."

While visiting Sandals South Coast in Jamaica, we got a Lionfish cooking demonstration and how the Sandals Foundation is educating people in Lionfish Hunting (they are major predators to marine life) as part of their Marine Protection mission.

Listen as Bianca gives details about some of the great ways that vacationers at Sandals Resorts can help the Sandals Foundation by participating in programs like, "Pack for a Purpose", "Reading Road Trip" and more.  They even have special souvenir sections at Sandals Resorts where the proceeds of those items goes to the Sandals Foundation.  I bought myself and my Mom the pretty Jamaica hanging heart pictured above which was one of many great items to choose from!
