It was an awesome surprise to see David Ortiz, looking fantastic, throwing out the first pitch at last night’s Red Sox Game!
I wish I was there last night to see the return of Big Papi to the field at Fenway! Of course, the Red Sox gave him the mic after he threw out the ceremonial first pitch to his friend (and my longtime fave) Jason Varitek. He had lots of heartfelt words for the Red Sox organization, Red Sox Nation and even the Yankees!
I love the caption on this tweet of the recap video from last night that included Big Papi’s full journey back into the clubhouse: “We’re not crying, you’re crying!”
I’m so glad that Big Papi is fully back on his feet and healed! There’s no one like him!
