STAMFORD, CT - DECEMBER 16: An immigrant mother collects free gifts for her children at a Family Night Christmas party at a community immigrant center on December 16, 2016 in Stamford, Connecticut. More than 100 children of immigrant families received gifts and meals donated by corporate sponsors at the annual Neighbors Link event. The non-profit Neighbors Link offers free English language classes, employment and skills training programs and individual support services as part of its mission to help integrate recently arrived immigrants into the community. We’re here to help you out. If there’s a gift you’re thinking of getting someone but not sure if they’ll like it…trust us, they won’t like THESE gifts.  A new survey found the three most important keys to giving a thoughtful gift are the sentiment behind it . . . how useful the gift is . . . and whether or not it has a personalized touch.  They also asked people to rank the WORST possible gifts you can get.  Here are the worst gifts ranked:

1.  Shower gel.

2.  Popcorn.  (Anyone who loves those popcorn tins might disagree.)

3.  Socks.

4.  A collection of lotions.

5.  A coffee mug.

6.  Liquor.  (I whole-heartedly disagree with that one.)

7.  Tea.

8.  A candle.

9.  A photo calendar.

10.  Coffee.
