WARRINGTON, ENGLAND – JANUARY 04: A seven week old Daschund cross puppy waits to be re-homed at the Cheshire Dogs Home on January 4, 2010 in Warrington, England. The puppy is one of hundreds waiting for a new home at the Manchester and Cheshire Dogs Home and other animal shelters across Britain. Get ready for "pawternity leave." Now it's not happening HERE in the US, but it IS happening in Brisbane Australia.  The "pawternity leave" scheme is available to staff at BrewDog's Brisbane brewery, which opened late November.  According to a company spokesperson, "Basically it's an extra paid week of leave that you're able to take when you adopt a puppy or get a new puppy in the house."
