TRILLFIT

Happy New Year! To kick off the new year, I thought I would give you some picks that could help you with some of your 2020 goals. First up is TRILLFIT. If one of your resolutions is to move more or have fun, you'll get both at TRILLFIT. TRILLFIT is Boston’s original hip hop workout party and boutique studio in the heart of Mission Hill, from CEO and Founder Heather White. They offer classes like: Sculpt, Cardio Dance, Restore, and "Fight the Power" Boxing Bootcamp. I've taken the sculpt class and the cardio dance class and LOVED them! It's fun, the hip-hop music makes you forget you're working out, and you'll feel like you're in a Beyonce video. And as a big girl who hasn't always felt comfortable in some fitness spaces, I felt welcomed, and at ease, and not self-conscious at all. The instructors I took classes with, Melisa Valdez and Elise Oliver, were energetic, encouraging and I can't wait to get back there for another class. Click HERE to get more info on TRILLFIT classes and events.  I sat down to talk to TRILLFIT's Heather White and you can hear the conversation Sunday morning at 6:30am on VOICES with Pebbles on the air, or check out the podcast after it airs HERE.

Red Shaydez and the Dorchester Art Project

If one of your resolutions is to follow your dreams and kickstart that music career, this is for you. On January 22nd, Boston's own Red Shaydez and the Dorchester Art Project present an artist workshop on how to jumpstart a music career. They'll have info on paid gigs, funding, networking and more. Plus a free photoshoot for all attendees. Click HERE for more info and to get your ticket. A whole lot of information to give you the tools you need for success, and just $10. Even though it's for musicians, they say it would be a great resource for artist managers, poets, and all creatives. I had the chance to talk to Red Shaydez for my VOICES with Pebbles podcast. She's talented, inspiring, and looking to help other artists. You can listen to the conversation HERE.
