PHNOM PENH, CAMBODIA – FEBRUARY 14: A couple with flowers look at pictures on a phone on Valentine’s Day on February 14, 2014 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Valentine’s Day has only started to be celebrated in Cambodia over the last decade and recent surveys have raised concerns over young people’s misinterpretation of the meaning of Valetine’s Day, viewing it more as an opportunity to have sex than as a celebration of love. On Valentine’s Day non-government organisations distributed 100,000 free condoms and offered free HIV testing at several locations in Phnom Penh, while ‘One Billion Rising’ campaigned to end violence against women. So there's a new term for dumping someone RIGHT before Valentine's Day. It's called "Valentighting" A British writer came up with it referring to people who are too tight with money to get something, in order to avoid making an investment in the relationship.

Are you a "Valentighter?"
