Fans thought Eminem was getting ready to drop a new album when “Marshall Law” began trending on Twitter on Monday.

Eminem squashed the rumors with his tweet, “Sorry guys…Marshall Law: not a thing.”

The rumors about “Marshall Law” began with a tweet from senator Marco Rubio who misspelled the phrase which by Webster’s dictionary definition means: “the law administered by military forces that’s invoked by a government in an emergency when the civilian law enforcement agencies are unable to maintain public order and safety.”

Rubio eventually apoligized for his tweet about “stupid rumors about martial law” and admitted to the misspelling and causing confusion.
