Baystate Health Creates “Code Rocky” To Celebrate Discharged Patients With COVID-19! (VIDEO)
Love this! Baystate Health is sending their recovered COVID-19 patients home with a “Code Rocky” lobby send-off celebration!
According to Baystate Health’s YouTube video description, “‘Code Rocky’ was created at Baystate Medical Center and will be adopted at all BH hospitals. A Code Rocky is called when a COVID-19 positive patient is well enough to go home. With the patient’s consent, a Code Rocky mobilizes the Baystate Health team members in the hospital lobby to provide a standing ovation for the patient and the care team while the Rocky theme song is played. This is one of our ways to recognize the healing and recovery of patients with COVID-19.”
This is awesome! It seems uplifting to both recovered patients and the healthcare workers. I think we all need to see uplifting stories of people surviving the coronavirus as well as health care workers celebrating their hard work in harm’s way to balance out the serious coronavirus news updates.
