You’re gonna need to win the lottery to place a bid on Robert Kraft’s Patriots Super Bowl LI ring, but it’s for a great cause!

Robert Kraft has accepted the “All In Challenge” and says, “I’ve been giving a lot of thought to the front line health care workers, the doctors, the nurses, the support staff, the EMS people, the intensive care people, and my heart goes out to them all because they’re putting their lives on the line every day, and what could I do that would be special.

And I’ve been thinking about it for weeks and I finally thought about our Super Bowl experience in Super Bowl LI against the Atlanta Falcons in Houston when we’re two and a half minutes in the third period, we were down 28-3 and had a .04 chance of winning, 99.6% chance to lose and we came back and we won.  And I thought about what’s going on at this time, and wanted to give something of extreme value in support of our healthcare workers.

So I thought it would be good to give this ring, our 5th Super Bowl win… because it showed how we came back.  We’re the greatest country in the world with the greatest people who feel a sense of team and work together in the toughest times.  So I wanna give this ring to someone who’ll feel worthy enough to bid it up so that we can get meals to all these people who are hurting badly at this time.”

If you are the lucky winner, Robert Kraft will send a car for you, if you live in the New England area, otherwise he’ll send his private plane to pick you up anywhere in the United States and you’ll be presented with the ring by him in the trophy room at Gillette Stadium.  He’ll also show you around and you may even get to have lunch with him.

You can check out all the details and the auction here. As I type this, the starting bid was $75,000 and the current bid is $500,000!  It’s for a great cause: “100% of the money raised through this Game/Auction will go directly to Feeding America, Meals On Wheels, World Central Kitchen and No Kid Hungry.”
