Awkward: Here’s what a socially distant concert looks like
Concert venues have been hit hard by the coronavirus and there’s still no word on when we’ll be able to attend live shows. One concert has taken place and it gives us a little insight into what live shows may look like in the near future. Country singer TRAVIS MCCREADY performed at America’s first pandemic concert on Monday in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. They did a “fan pod” system where small groups of people sat together, but six feet away from others. Everyone wore face masks and their temperature was checked at the door. It was at the TempleLive Theater, which holds 1,100 people, but it was limited to 229 fans. They tested out a “fan pod” system by selling tickets in blocks of between two and 13. Those people would sit together but were six feet away from others.
