Good news for MA residents who initially thought they’d be shut out of the Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun reopening. Yesterday, it was announced that both casinos located in CT would be reopening June 1 but NOT to residents of MA or NY which are still considered coronavirus hotspots. This angered a lot of MA residents. But apparently there was a lot of misinformation being spread following the announcement. James Gessner, chairman of the Mohegan Tribe, said both casinos “will not accept any buses and clearly not from New York or Massachusetts, nor will we do any marketing to those states at this time.”
There will also be major safety precautions being taken including mask wearing, restaurants being open for take out only and concert venues, buffets and poker rooms will remain closed.
