You may have heard by now the allegations made by an off duty officer in LA had used his police union debit card to pay for his frappucino at Starbucks inside a Target. He claims he discovered that a tampon had been put in his drink. After reporting the incident, a spokesperson for Target released a statement saying: “We take this allegation seriously. We have reviewed video footage and have not found any suspicious behavior. We have shared the video with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and look forward to the conclusions of their investigation.”
So, in their eyes, no crime or suspicious behavior had taken place. There have been people claiming the picture of the tampon was fake. "[I don't know] about other baristas but 1. In no f**king way do I know wtf a "police credit union" debit card looks like, [and] 2. In no f**king way do baristas have time to casually have tampons on hand during the 30 seconds it takes to make a frappuccino," wrote Dario Martinez on Twitter, in a tweet that's racked up almost 5000 likes.
