In a 4 hour long interview with Forbes, Kanye discussed a wide range of topics from his friendship with Trump to his running mate. First off, he’s not running as a Democrat or Republican, but under the “Birthday Party” banner (“because when we win, it’s everybody’s birthday”)…which obviously had to be a joke cause he then added if Trump wasn’t there he’d run as a Republican but the fact that he is, he’s running as an independent. He’s also allegedly chosen his running mate: Michelle Tidball, a preacher from Wyoming. In another interesting development, it looks like Kanye no longer supports Trump, taking off his red hat for the interview and didn’t really say much as to why only that “It looks like one big mess to me.” And that “I don’t like that I caught wind that he hid in the bunker.” In regards to other hot political topics: He did say he’s pro-life, against the death penalty, and that "Planned Parenthoods have been placed inside cities by white supremacists to do the Devil’s work." Oh, and one more tidbit of info he nonchalantly just threw in there…he had Covid-19 back in February. “Chills, shaking in the bed, taking hot showers, looking at videos telling me what I'm supposed to do to get over it. I remember someone had told me Drake had the coronavirus and my response was Drake can’t be sicker than me!”
