A woman is dead following an apparent shark attack in the water off a Maine island, according to state authorities.  As of this morning, the victim has not been identified but witnesses say she was swimming in the waters of Casco Bay, near White Sails Lane, when she was injured in what appeared to be a shark attack.  She was brought to shore by two nearby kayakers. Until further notice, swimmers are urged to use caution and avoid swimming near schools of fish or seals.
