NEWARK, NEW JERSEY - AUGUST 25: Erykah Badu attends Black Girls Rock 2019 Hosted By Niecy Nash at NJPAC on August 25, 2019 in Newark, New Jersey.

Apparently, Brandy is Erykah Badu’s inspiration. The soulful singer took to Twitter on Sunday night (Aug. 9) to let Brandy know just how she feels about her.

“This train is right on schedule. Brandy came out 94 I was very inspired,” Badu tweeted. “I came out in Feb. 97. So everything in divine timing.”

“I’m next in seems. Listening to [Brandy],” Badu continued. “You are forever my inspiration. Real talk.”

Badu isn’t the only fellow singer who admires B-Rocka. Over the weekend, Brandy took to Twitter to tease a collaboration with Solange. Solange had taken to the social media platform to express her love for Brandy’s song “Rather Be,” which is featured on her latest release, B7.

“It’s the run at 2:14 for meeeee,” Solange tweeted to the “Never Say Never” singer, along with a crying face emoji. The singer and actress then retweeted Solange’s tweet while teasing a collaboration between the two singers.

“Solo, I love you. What happened to our song?” the singer and actress tweeted. “I really want that to happen. Our voices together will be magical. Thank you for your unconditional support.”

Many fans of the singer as well as fellow artists refer to her as “The Vocal Bible” due to her runs and vocal stacking, so it’s not surprising that she’s an inspiration to fellow artists.
