No The Weeknd was NOT beat up by Usher. The mother of all click bait websites Mediatakeout.com has a story they’re running with the headline: “R&B Singer Usher Allegedly BEATS UP The Weeknd And Breaks His Nose!” Now quick backstory here. The Weeknd’s new album After Hours has given us several singles so far including Blinding Lights, Heartless and In Your Eyes and each of the videos for those songs tells a story and The Weeknd is playing a character who’s been beat up with a busted nose. Fast forward to yesterday, The Weeknd was rehearsing for this weekend’s VMAs (in full character complete with blood makeup) and was out signing autographs after. So of course if you don’t know this, you see him lookin’ pretty busted and you can make up any story like Mediatakeout who says that because Usher’s been boxing for years and because the two of them had beef recently, Usher finally got to him and gave him  two black eyes, a popped lip and a busted nose.  Oh and BTW, The Weeknd dropped new music last night with Calvin Harris “Over Now.”
