Did one of the dancers have “vote” written on her butt cheeks?!
The caption on the YouTube video says, “Are you already planning to vote? Good. This video isn’t for you. This is for men who are undecided about VOTING. We encourage everyone to get out, research their candidates, and vote!”

When you visit the “Get Your Booty to the Poll” website, there is a link to a GoFundMe page which states that Paul Fox, a producer and Angela Gomes, a director are the organizers. Here is their story behind the campaign:
“We are Atlanta based filmmakers that want to use our talents to push for change in this country, and in Georgia in particular. Part of pushing for the change we want to see is helping put people in office who will support and advocate for those changes on a federal, state and local level. Black women vote more often than Black men, so we are focusing our campaign on Black men. We will create a series of PSAs and a meme campaign to inspire our brothers to vote.
The campaign isn’t your typical talking head PSA. It features several Atlanta-based exotic dancers doing their most impressive pole work, and instead of it raining cash, it will be raining ballots! The idea of the campaign is to have the audience think it’s a typical music video, but then the dancers talk to the camera, explaining why it’s important to vote, and how who we elect impacts our community. Every spot ends with the dancers saying our tagline, ‘Get your booty to the poll!’ Our research tells us that most people don’t vote because they don’t understand the specifics of how who they vote for can impact their day to day lives, so we want to educate in a way that’s fun, flirty, conversational and — most important — shareable.
The money we raise will be used to shoot public service announcements, and distribute them digitally. We will use funds to rent equipment, feed the crew, and ensure COVID safety on set, including testing for the entire crew. Funds will also be used to build our online presence through a website and advertising. Any funds we don’t use will be donated to non-profits such as the ACLU, Fair Fight, and the Black Male Voter Project. Our first shoot is scheduled for July 26.
Your financial support tells us that, like us, you are ready to see and push for real change at all levels of government, which starts in the polling booth. So help us spread awareness to the people! Get your booty to the poll!!!!”
