Nashua Teachers Are Making Desks For Students Doing Remote Learning! (VIDEO)
This is awesome! Two Nashua, NH teachers started making desks for students in need of a workspace at home for remote learning.
According to WMUR, Sunset Heights Elementary School physical education teacher John Barry and Elm Street Middle School science teacher Dan Scarpati started making desks for students to use at home, in a driveway.
Each desk costs about $30 to make and John and Dan reached out to other teachers to see if they wanted to get involved and they got 70 teachers who wanted to sponsor a desk.
They’ve now taken over the woodshop at the Elm Street Middle School to continue making desks and are receiving offers of help from others, including a local Boy Scout troop.
Congratulations to John and Dan for coming up with this great idea and for putting smiles on the students’ faces!
