Governor DeSantis has given the Miami Dolphins have been given clearance play games in front of full capacity crowds of 65,000 at Hard Rock Stadium, according to Sports Illustrated.

However, SI reports that the Dolphins are currently planning on allowing 13,000 fans on their October 25th game.

ESPN reporter Cameron Wolfe reports that “The Dolphins didn’t ask for & don’t plan to go to 65K full capacity at games this season, source says. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis gave them clearance to do so now, as @AndySlater reported, but Dolphins feel more comfortable continuing their plan of hosting 13K fans right now.”

Meanwhile, the NFL’s other Florida teams, the Buccaneers and the Jaguars have not addressed their capacity protocol following DeSantis’s ruling as of Wednesday afternoon, per SI. Super Bowl LV in February 2021 is slated to be held in Tampa, and DeSantis said he expects the game to be held in front of fans. Fox29 in Philadelphia reports that Gov. DeSantis said last month that, “We’re going to be able to host the Super Bowl in February. We expect to do a full Super Bowl. We’re going to show that we’re going to be able to do that.”
