It looks like Disney isn't going to stop until every single one of their theme park rides is a movie. And next up is Space Mountain. Space Mountain is an indoor roller coaster with an outer space theme. It doesn't have a "plot", or any characters or "scenes" you can build a plot on, so chances are the movie will be very LOOSELY based on the ride. All we know right now is that it'll be a "family adventure." It's intended as a theatrical release . . . and since it's still in the early stages, theaters MIGHT be a thing again by the time it's done. Space Mountain was introduced at Disney World in Orlando in 1975. It made its way to Disneyland in California in 1977. It's now in five of the six Disney parks around the world.
