Nicki Minaj calls out the Grammys: reminding us they gave Best New Artist in 2012 “to the White Man Bon Iver’

With yesterday’s Grammy nomination announcement comes some angry and confused artists. Cue in Nicki Minaj who was seeing all the backlash on social media and took the time to remind us that she was once snubbed by the Grammy Academy. According to her tweet: “Never forget the Grammys didn’t give me my best new artist award when I had 7 songs simultaneously charting on billboard & bigger first week than any female rapper in the last decade- went on to inspire a generation. They gave it to the white man Bon Iver.”
