Boston Bruins Show Support for High School Hockey Player Who Was Severely Injured
The Boston Bruins are showing support for a high school student who suffered a terrible injury during a hockey game this week.
After Thursday night’s win against the Pittsburgh Penguins, they awarded A.J. Quetta the game puck. The official Twitter account for the Bruins also posted a video showing Brad Marchand hanging Quetta’s jersey behind the Bruins bench.
Quetta is a varsity hockey player at Bishop Feehan in Attleboro. According to 7 News Boston, he suffered a spinal cord injury after crashing headfirst into the boards in a game against Pope Francis in Springfield on Tuesday night.
A GoFundMe has been set up to help cover Quetta’s medical expenses. Click here for more information on this story and to hear some of the players speak out.
