Uber is acquiring the Boston-based alcohol delivery service, Drizly.

Uber and Drizly announced the agreement on Tuesday, explaining that the plan is to integrate Drizly into the Uber Eats app, while also maintaining a separate Drizly app. Uber is paying approximately $1.1 billion in stock and cash for the deal.

Drizly is a Boston-based alcohol marketplace that was founded in 2012 and launched service to the Greater Boston area in 2013. It now serves more than 1,400 cities across a majority of US states while working with thousands of local merchants to provide consumers with a large selection of beer, wine, and spirits.
