After being postponed due to Covid-19, the Met Gala was last night. The gala was in celebration of the Costume Institute’s newest exhibition, “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion,” which opens to the public in the Anna Wintour Costume Center on September 18th.
Here are some of the best, and worst looks from the night:
9. Lil Nas X — Part 2
ShareAmericans love superheroes, and Lil Nax X gave us just that after he unsheathed his king's robe.
13. Barbie Ferreira
ShareBarbie Ferreira adorned in all pearls and shaved brows is the high fashion we've been craving from an event like this.
16. Naomi Osaka
ShareCo-chair Naomi Osaka melds together her heritages of Haitian and Japanese and gave us this amazingly fierce look. Her hair is art!
22. Billie Eilish
ShareCo-chair Billie Eilish redeemed her VMA look by showing up as glam as they come, compared to Marilyn Monroe. She said the holiday Barbies she wanted as a child inspired this look.
23. Lil Nas X — Part 1
ShareShowing up as a king, Lil Nas X's first part of his three-part Met Gala look is a gigantic golden cape that only he could pull off.
24. Carolyn Maloney
ShareFollowing Texas' recent bill, Carolyn Maloney proudly represents women.
25. Amanda Gorman
ShareCo-chair Amanda Gorman invoking Lady Liberty, with a book in hand which reads, ""Give Us Your Tired" -- a nod to the poem that appears on the foot of the Statue of Liberty.
37. Keke Palmer
ShareKeke Palmer shined as host of the Teen Vogue livestream coverage of the event.
41. Evan MocK
ShareEvan Mock with a bold S&M mask, hardware incorporated suit jacket, and shorts!
44. Adam Mosseri and Monica Mosseri
ShareHonorary chair Adam Mosseri and Monica Mosseri nailed their refreshing wearable art looks!
46. Timothée Chalamet
ShareCo-chair Timothée Chalamet surprisingly makes this satin tux look work with white socks and Converses.
47. Maisie Williams
ShareMaisie Williams is almost unrecognizable with shaved eyebrows, an ornate hairdo, and avante-garde look.
49. Ella Emhoff
ShareElla Emhoff making street fashion Met Gala worthy in this red ensemble.
50. Julia Garner
ShareJulia Garner looking like a star, quite literally shimmering from head to toe.
20. Kristen Stewart
ShareKristen Stewart looks more of a disheveled Brit than an In America fashion look.
1. Zoë Kravitz
ShareSince we haven't seen Rihanna's red carpet look, we have to give the #1 spot to Zoë Kravitz for this vision of perfection.
10. Rosalía
ShareThese shoes and gloves on Rosalía makes her look like a lobster, or Him from Powerpuff Girls.
19. Regina King
ShareRegina King looks like a powerful boss, but we don't think it's fierce enough for the Met.
14. Kid Cudi
ShareKid Cudi looks like The Joker.
30. Kehlani
ShareThe Tin Man called, he wants his suit back, Kehlani.
3. Natalia Bryant
ShareNatalia Bryant looks like a mixture between an Easter egg and a Christmas tree ornament.
10. Helen Lasichanh and Pharrell Williams
ShareMatching in all black leather suits, we are loving Helen Lasichanh and Pharrell Williams' In America adaptation.

ShareGigi Hadid plays up Old Hollywood in a new way, with leather gloves.
21. Winnie Harlow
ShareWinnie Harlow's dress is giving us movement with this ensemble!
39. Kim Kardashian
ShareKim K's look would have received a better review if there was something more alluring to it besides her face being completely covered.

6. Lupita Nyong’o
ShareWhen thinking of this year's theme, Lupita Nyong'o thought of America being the birth and popularity of denim.
3. Teyana Taylor
ShareTeyana Taylor really knows how to serve body and fashion at the same time -- absolutely flawless.

5. Erykah Badu
ShareErykah Badu let her accessories do the talking, with a gun-shaped bag and her face hidden within a mesh orb, taking her high-fashion interpretation of In America to an unmatched level.
35. Justin Bieber
ShareJustin Bieber's attempt at fashion is quite laughable at this point. Promoting his Drew fashion house, he showed up in child-like sneakers, and his wide legged pants just make him look shorter.
24. Jennifer Lopez
ShareJennifer Lopez did a bit too much with her western Mad Max inspired look. The fur coat kills the whole thing, really.
7. Gabrielle Union
ShareGabrielle Union's hair and dress is a walking vision at this year's Met Gala.
35. Taika Waititi and Rita Ora
ShareThe gorgeous couple look amazing, with Taika donning a black silk suit, while Rita shined in her glam two-piece outfit.
