BRADLEY COOPER said he was held at knifepoint in 2019 in a subway station in New York City. It wasn't at sketch o'clock either . . . it was right before noon when he was on his way to pick up his daughter from Russian school.
On DAX SHEPARD's "Armchair Expert" podcast, he said, quote, "It was pretty insane . . . I realized I had gotten way, way too comfortable in the city."
Bradley said his guard was down and he was listening to music on his headphones.
Quote, "I felt somebody coming up . . . I thought, 'Oh they want to take a photo or something' . . . As I turned, I'm up against the post like it's 'The French Connection' or [something], and I turned . . . looked down and see a knife."
He said he was surprised at how young the guy looked and instinctively took off for the station exit. That caused the attacker to flee, so Bradley took after him and managed to take a few photos to show the police. But didn't file a report.
