Kanye West Has Begun Working On ‘Donda 2,’ His First Sequel Album
A sequel to Kanye West’s 10th studio album Donda is in the works according to major industry figure Steven Victor.
“Ye has started working on his new masterpiece Donda 2,” Steven Victor told Complex.
Victor previously held the title of chief operating officer of G.O.O.D. Music, the label Ye founded in 2004. He is currently the founder and CEO of Victor Victor Worldwide and senior vice president of A&R at Universal Music Group.
If the project comes to fruition, this will be the first sequel album and 11th studio album for Ye.
Donda had a surprise release in Aug. 2021 following three extravagant public listening parties in July and August. Since its release, Donda has reached certified Gold status by the RIAA and is nominated for “Best Rap Album” and “Album Of The Year” at the 2022 Grammys. The album is named after the rapper’s late mother Dr. Donda West.
