The First Video to Hit 10 Billion Views on YouTube Will Now Be Stuck in Your Head All Day
We can thank parents for a new YouTube record that was set yesterday. The first video to hit 10 billion views is . . . the 2016 “Baby Shark Dance” music video.
It’s been the most viewed video for the last 15 months. The second most-viewed video is “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, which has 7.7 billion views.
Well, it doesn’t look like “Baby Shark” is going anywhere anytime soon. It now has its own cartoon series on Nickelodeon, merchandise like toys and party decorations, and live tours.
