Megan Thee Stallion Honors Late Parents With Launch of Pete and Thomas Foundation
Megan Thee Stallion is celebrating her 27th birthday today (Feb. 15) by honoring her late parents in a special way.
The three-time Grammy-winning rapper has launched the Pete and Thomas Foundation named after her late father and mother respectively.
The “Savage” rapper announced the launch of her nonprofit on Instagram Tuesday with an accompanying video exploring the different sectors of the organization.
The caption read, “In celebration of my birthday, I’m honored to introduce the Pete and Thomas Foundation. @PeteThomasFDN is a non-profit organization focused on uplifting and assisting women, children, senior citizens, and underserved communities in Houston, Texas, and across the world. My parents raised me to help others and give back, and I’m incredibly proud to launch this foundation in their memory. Follow @PeteThomasFDN for more ❤️”

In a press release, per Complex, the newly 27-year-old said, “Launching the Pete and Thomas Foundation is easily one of the most significant endeavors that I’ll ever be part of in my career. My family raised me to help others and give back, so I’m incredibly proud to be in a position to accomplish that goal. I have a responsibility to use my platform to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those who may not have access to resources and support services.”
Megan’s father passed her freshman year of high school and her mother and grandmother both passed in 2019. She spoke to PEOPLE after she graduated college last year about her family’s impact on her finishing her education.
“I want my big mama to be proud. She saw me going to school before she passed. My grandmother that’s still alive used to be a teacher, so she’s on my butt about finishing school. I’m doing it for me, but I’m also doing it for the women in my family who made me who I am today.”
