Updated snow totals, who will get the most out of today’s storm
Snow has already begun falling in MA and from now until midday expect an inch or two per hour. The forecast calls for 8 to 12 inches of snow for most areas near the Mass Pike and points northward. To the south, some mixing may hold totals down a bit, but 4 to 8 inches of snow is likely south of the Mass Pike.
Areas to get the lowest totals will be in southeast MA and the Cape while the jackpot areas will be the Pike north which could see a foot of snow when all is said and done.
Snow will begin to wrap up later this afternoon/early evening and expect colder temperatures this weekend.
