The Red Sox season will start a day later thanks to the weather.
The Red Sox/Yankees rivalry will start a day late this season due to “inclement weather” headed to New York tomorrow (Thursday).
Of course, we’re really waiting for the Red Sox home opener at Fenway! That’s happening on April 15th against the Twins. It’s also Jackie Robinson Day, which will be celebrated across the league with players wearing number 42 in his honor.
Thursday’s #OpeningDay game in New York has been rescheduled due to a forecast of inclement weather.

Opening Day will now be played at Yankee Stadium on Friday, April 8, at 1:05pm ET.
