It's rare that someone calls to set the record straight on a story that makes them sound like a GOOD PERSON. That happened this morning on the Getup Crew. Let's set up the story. Pebbles featured the story in her "Good News" segment last week on the Getup Crew. The original story that was featured in news outlets read that Eric Cochrane brought his son's guitar into his "friend" John Galvin's guitar shop for repair. Galvin did not charge Cochrane for the repairs since his son was having health issues. Lottery officials went on to say Cochrane decided that he would purchase two $20 instant tickets and told his friend, “If I win $1 million, we are splitting it.” 1 of the two tickets Cochrane purchased was indeed a million dollar winner so he decided to split the $650,000 lump sum with Galvin.
Believe it or not, Cochrane heard Pebbles' report on the Getup Crew, felt that the details in that story and every other media outlet's story was inaccurate so he wanted to set the record straight. Cue Eric's phone call to the Getup Crew this morning:
