A Woman Found $36,000 Hidden In A Free Couch And Returned The Money!

Would you have returned the $36,000 to the owner of the couch?!

I'm an honest person, but when I saw this even I questioned whether or not I would have given all of it, some of it, or any of it back!

According to ABC 6, Vicky Umodu from California found two couches and a matching chair for free on Craigslist posted by a family whose loved one had recently passed away.  Vicky noticed something strange in one of the couch cushions after she got it home... envelopes filled with cash totaling $36,000!  Vicky then contacted the family and gave them back all of the money!  As a thank you, the family bought Vicky a new refrigerator and gifted her $2,200.  You can read more here.

This story is a good reminder to "check under the mattress" and add "couch cushions" to that list before you toss anything.
