Gas Station Manager Fired After Accidentally Setting Gas Price at 69 Cents per Gallon Instead of $6.99
It could happen to anyone. An honest mistake a man made at a California gas station has cost him his job. John Szczecina, who worked at a station in Rancho Cordova, said he accidentally set the decimal in the wrong place so instead of people being charged $6.99 a gallon, they were only charged .69 cents. The simple mistake cost that gas station around $20,000. John said “So I just took responsibility for it and I said, ‘Yeah it’s my fault, and I’m to blame.” Unfortunately, his bosses didn’t care for his honesty and he was fired. His family has now set up a Gofundme to pay back the $20,000. You can donate HERE .
