It is no secret that July 4th is a dangerous day for your fingers. However, I’m sure some of you out there would rather lose a few digits than lose this. According to a new report, the Fourth of July is also the most dangerous day of the year for your phone.
In a study carried out by Asurion a company that repairs broken and waterlogged phones, they found that there are 48% more accidents on the July 4th than any other day of the year. This is followed by Memorial Day and Labor Day.
Summer, in general, is considered to be the most dangerous time of year for your smartphone.
Since there were more people out last year, they saw an 80% increase in water-related phone issues, a 10% jump in cracked screens and a 65% increase in lost phones.
