Kid Cudi On Rekindling Kanye Friendship: ‘It’ll Take A Motherf—ing Miracle’
Kid Cudi has addressed potentially rekindling his friendship with Kanye West. However, the Ohio native is not sold on the idea completely.
In a recent interview with Esquire, Cudi addressed the falling out between him and Ye several months ago stating that for there to be a relationship between him and the Donda rapper, it would have to take a “motherf—ing miracle.”
“I’m not one of your kids,” Cudi said and also pointed out that the rapper is “gon’ have to become a monk” to get back in his good graces. He added, “I’m not Kim. It don’t matter if I’m friends with Pete or not friends with Pete. None of this s— had anything to do with me. If you can’t be a grown man and deal with the fact that you lost your woman? That’s not my f—ing problem.”
He also set things straight with how his career began. Cudi acknowledged being on Ye’s 2008 album 808s & Heartbreak was a great opportunity, but Ye “did not come and pluck me out of Applebee’s or the Bape store” to launch his career.
On the music side, Cudi’s highly anticipated Entergalactic will be released on Sept. 30 that will also have an accompanying Netflix animated show set to drop on the same day.
