Happily Furever-After Rescue

A special dog at the Happily Furever-After Rescue in Connecticut is making art while he waits for his forever home. The dog was rescued from a dogfighting ring in North Carolina, and his ear was in such bad shape it had to be amputated. He was named Van Gogh, after the artist who cut off his own ear, and is following in the artist’s footsteps by painting versions of Van Gogh pieces.

Jaclyn, the founder of the rescue center, puts paint in a plastic bag coated with peanut butter, and lets Van Gogh go to work. The shelter has since sold 30 pieces at about $40 each, to raise money to help find him a permanent home.
