Fans belive that a new Cardi B album may be arriving soon. This is due to a mysterious Instagram account that is seemingly dedicated to the upcoming LP.

On Thursday (Jan. 12), Cardi B started following an Instagram page with the handle named @albumcb2. The mysterious Instagram account only follows Cardi but now has over 6,000 followers and has yet to post anything. The Instagram account added fuel to the rumor mill by reposting a photo of Cardi in the studio on its Instagram Story. The picture was originally posted by label executive/A&R Brooklyn Johnny.

"Y’ALL READY?! #CardiB," he wrote in the caption.

The Bardi gang has been awaiting her sophomore album for quite a while. In the time since her debut, she has dropped hits such as "WAP" ft. Megan Thee Stallion, "UP," and "Hot S---" featuring Kanye and Lil Durk.

During an Instagram Live back in December, the rapper discussed why the album has been taking so long to come out.

"I’m just a mom and I do have anxiety," she said. "I’ve been having a lot of anxiety, because I know right after I drop my album, I have to go out on tour and I have bad separation anxiety from my kids."

The rapper also mentioned that because Invasion of Privacy did so well, there is a lot of pressure to measure up to that success once again.

"When it comes to music and everything, I just be feeling like I don’t be liking anything," she said. "I feel like I got so many songs and I don’t like anything. I feel like nothing is good enough… And I got so much money saved up I just be like, 'Yeah, whatever the f---.'"

She added: "Now, making music to me has become a job that gives me anxiety because everybody just critiques everything that I do. Sometimes you just don’t want to do something that gives you that much anxiety, so I just be like freezing myself. But I have to let that go, I have to release more music. I have to just go out there."

An official release date for her sophomore album is still yet to come.
